 He chaired the State Planning Institute’s ‘Development Strategies Advisory Council', comprising former economy and finance ministers, secretaries of treasury and State Planning Institute, academicians, representatives of business world and professionals with experience in international organizations such as OECD, to help define Turkey’s vision for 2020. He also served on the executive board of the Competitiveness Forum formed by TUSIAD and Sabanci University. He was the co-chairman of the public sector workgroup of the National Innovation Initiative. He has also initiated the scenario development efforts to support Turkey’s prospective planning prepared by ARGE Consulting and co-chaired the ‘Searching for Tomorrow’ conference.
